Quarry

Sunway’s quarry division is one of the largest producers of construction aggregates, premix and asphalt in Malaysia. Quarrying is a necessity for roads, buildings and construction work, and is central to building up a nation. With eight quarries and 24 asphalt plants located strategically across the country, we support nation-building by laying the foundation for Malaysia’s most important construction and infrastructure projects.

Aligned with Sunway’s commitment to the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, we integrate sustainable principles throughout our operations with safety, the well-being of the community and employees, as well as environmental stewardship as our key priorities. We achieve this through various initiatives, including implementing water sprinkles to reduce dust, planting trees, looking into vegetation as well as hydro-seeding to help restore the ecosystem in the quarry site as much as possible.
